Revive 2012

Revive Youth weekend took place this year on the 27th and 28th of April with a change of venue, moving from New Life City Church to Dundonald Elim. The hype had started a few days before with many young people excited to see what God was going to do, after the amazing experience they had at the last Revive. It’s safe to say no one was disappointed!

We were glad once again to have the Relentless Band leading us in worship over the weekend. Again and again they continue to show how blessed they are with the talents God has given them, once again they set the mood brilliantly in worship and helped many of the young people engage with God.
We also had the privilege of having Guest Speaker Kevin Peat over for the weekend. Kevin has been a member of the National Leadership Team since 2000. He is Regional Leader in Scotland, the North West of England and North Wales.

The theme for this year’s Revive was the Father Heart of God, and it’s safe to say that God really used Kevin over the weekend to break down walls in the hearts and minds of the young people towards their Father God. The young people really responded to what Kevin had to say on both the Friday night and Saturday morning and it was great to see many of them understanding with both their ‘Minds and Hearts’ the real meaning of God being their Father.

On the Saturday night to say we had a ‘celebration’ and that God turned up would be an understatement. The idea was to have more of a worship session with a few testimonies in the middle and to celebrate what God was doing in each of those situations. However, what started with a few people giving testimony to what God had done for them ended up being well over 50 people! To hear what God was doing or what God had done in those situations was just mind blowing. Many young people were giving testimony for the first time and it was amazing to see that they just wanted to celebrate what God had done in their lives!

Over the two days we experienced God working and breaking down ‘walls’ in people’s lives. We want to thank everyone that was involved and again a big thank you must go out to Kevin Peat for joining us over the weekend. A final thank you to God who showed up, moved mightily over the two days and continues to change the lives of many young people throughout Ireland.

  1. God came and answered the cries of the broken, needy, thirsty, hungry and thankful. What a wonderful night! May He continue to work in the lives of all He touched that night!
